The story of our firm began in 1988, when Alain Youkel established his architectural practice in New York City. In 1993 our office moved to Vermont where a strong focus on resort and residential architecture began to develop. During 2001, to better address the growing international resort markets, Lemay+Youkel, a partnership with one of the largest architectural firms in Canada, was formed. The unique and extensive experiences gained from this and other real estate development ventures has led to a more focused approach in creation of value through good design and sustainable development. Today, we are architects by profession, storytellers by nature, and real-estate developers by choice. We innovate and implement creative solutions that endure the test of time. Our portfolio of achievements clearly demonstrates our ability to design, develop and manage projects that create greater value through superior design.

WILDEWOOD
An enclave of twenty 3 and 4 bedroom single family homes in Stowe, Vermont designed and co-developed by Youkel. In progress
Redstone Lofts
University of VerMont
400-bed on-campus independent student apartment complex with a sky connector known as "The Lantern" - a glowing visual landmark that provides a social and functional center for student life. Completed 2011.
Riverrun
56 luxury apartments overlooking Winooski Falls. Amenities include on-site covered parking, combination of enclosed and climate controlled storage units, a fitness center, and riverside terraces connected to the boardwalk and nature preserve. Designed and co-developed by Youkel. Completed 2015.
Riverhouse
72 luxury apartment residences with amenities including fitness center, gracious lobby overlooking large riverside terrace with built-in firepit, barbecue and vegetable gardens. Riverhouse continues the story of the vernacular Mill buildings that give this neighborhood its authentic and historic character. Designed and co-developed by Youkel. Completed 2013.
mill house
An urban renewal project in downtown Winooski, Vermont. Historic restoration of Mill Boarding House into 14 apartments with addition of a modern 11 apartment building and 10 three story townhomes with private garage parking and roof terraces. Designed & co-developed by Youkel. Completed 2015.

Luxury slopeside townhomes in Mt. Tremblant, Quebec. One of several resort projects completed in Stratton and Sugarbush resorts in Vermont; Mt. Tremblant QC; Fairmont Hot Springs, BC; Muskoka and Blue Mountain, Ontario. (2001-2010)
